Of all the markets I deal with, probably no other provides such consistently high hourly rates as commercial photography. $100/hr is low in this market. Sometimes you have to price a portfolio within the budget of a 20 year old girl, which might not be too high, but in commercial photography you deal with companies and their accordingly high budgets. The trick here is getting the work. "The Photography Big-Business-Pack Home Study Course"tells many ways which you can get work with major corporations.
And doing the work is easy too - the subject is usually an inanimate object that doesn't move. You can take your time and get the lighting just right. And while you might need a medium format camera to get some jobs, for years I did commercial work with nothing more than a 35mm SLR camera and a $50 set of photo floods. There's plenty of this kind of work out there - every company needs pictures of one kind or another. My book will show you how to start tapping into this lucrative market right away.
